A$AP Rocky faces up to 24 years in prison

For armed assault
Rapper and father of Rihanna’s children, A$AP Rocky, is accused of assaulting a man using a semi-automatic firearm.
The incident took place in 2021 near a hotel in Hollywood. The victim was A$AP Rocky’s former friend, Terell Ephron, better known as A$AP Relli. He accused the rapper of assault, battery, and causing emotional distress due to being struck by a bullet or bullet fragments. If convicted, A$AP Rocky could face up to 24 years in prison.

A$AP Rocky’s defense claims that on the night of the shooting, the rapper had a prop gun that he had received during a music video shoot, meaning he could not have fired real bullets. His lawyer also alleges that Terell Ephron attempted to extort money from him that night.
Prosecutors attempted to strike a deal with the rapper – he would have pleaded guilty to one of the two charges. In this case, he would have received seven years of probation, three years of supervised release, and six months in jail. However, A$AP Rocky’s lawyers rejected the offer.

The rapper’s case is now being handled in court by Joseph Tacopina, a former attorney for Donald Trump. This gives Rihanna’s partner a strong chance of avoiding imprisonment.
