75-Year-Old Meryl Streep Spotted on a Date with a Famous Actor
The couple has been rumored to be romantically involved for nearly a year
Rumors about a possible romance between Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep and her «Only Murders in the Building» co-star Martin Short continue to circulate. The actors once again sparked media interest by appearing together for dinner in Santa Monica, California. The 75-year-old Streep and 74-year-old Short visited the popular Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi. Both were smiling and seemed to be in high spirits.
Streep was dressed in a white and blue blouse, black pants, and beige clogs. Short wore a gray suit with a white shirt and black sneakers.

The couple dined at the restaurant and then left together in Streep’s car. Meryl Streep was behind the wheel, while Martin Short sat in the passenger seat.
As a reminder, in October 2023, Meryl Streep separated from her husband, sculptor Don Gummer, after 45 years of marriage. The couple has four children — Henry Wolfe, a singer-songwriter, and daughters Mamie Gummer, Grace Gummer, and Louisa Jacobson, all actresses. Additionally, they have five grandchildren. The reason for Streep and Gummer’s separation has not been disclosed.
It is known that Streep and Short have been friends for many years but have grown closer recently. Rumors of their romance first surfaced in the media at the beginning of 2024.
