2025 recap: the most high-profile celebrity weddings

Looking back at how it all unfolded
Traditionally, INSIDERAT takes stock at the end of the year. The year 2025 will be remembered for the considerable number of couples who decided to bind themselves in the bonds of matrimony.
Let us look back on the year gone by and see which global celebrities held lavish and boisterous ceremonies, the details of which were eagerly covered by the media.
Justin Theroux
One of the first to open the wedding season was Justin Theroux, the former husband of Jennifer Aniston. His bride was actress Nicole Brydon Bloom. The wedding ceremony took place in the picturesque Mexican coastal town of Xpu Há, at the exclusive Hotel Esencia.

For her special day, the bride selected several refined looks. For the official ceremony and celebratory dinner, she wore a dress designed by her friend Victoria Beckham. For the rehearsal dinner, Bloom opted for a chic two-piece ensemble by Danielle Frankel.

Justin Theroux chose a timeless yet stylish look – a white tuxedo jacket with a bow tie, paired with black trousers.

Demi Lovato
At the end of May, news broke of Demi Lovato’s wedding. The American pop star married her longtime partner, musician Jordan Lutes. The couple hosted an intimate, private ceremony in California, attended only by close family members, dear friends, and their three dogs.

For the occasion, the bride wore two striking gowns, both designed by Vivienne Westwood. The couple has been together since 2022.
Huma Abedin
In 2025, Huma Abedin – former deputy campaign manager for Hillary Clinton – also entered a new chapter of her life. She married Alex Soros, son of renowned investor George Soros. The ceremony took place at a $14.5 million estate in Southampton.

The wedding featured two distinct ceremonies: a Muslim one honoring the bride and a Jewish one honoring the groom. Among the guests were Jimmy Fallon, Rory and Bill Gates, Kamala Harris, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, George and Amal Clooney, Diane von Fürstenberg and Barry Diller, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
During the celebration, the bride changed into two different outfits – one inspired by Audrey Hepburn, the other by Grace Kelly.
The Granddaughter of Iran’s Last Monarch
In the summer, 31-year-old Iman Pahlavi, granddaughter of Iran’s last shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, got married. Her husband is American entrepreneur Bradley Sherman.

The wedding drew particular attention amid rising tensions between Iran and Israel. Despite the severance of diplomatic ties after the Islamic Revolution, the two countries maintained close economic and military relations prior to 1979.

Lady Violet Manners
At the end of June, the UK witnessed a wedding uniting two of its oldest aristocratic families. Lady Violet Manners, eldest daughter of the 11th Duke of Rutland, married Viscount Garnock William James Lindsay-Bethune. The ceremony took place at the majestic Belvoir Castle, the ancestral home of the Dukes of Rutland.

The bride wore a custom Phillipa Lepley gown with puffed sleeves, delicate sheer detailing, and a long veil. She completed her look with the historic Rutland diamond tiara, dating back to the 18th century. The groom, of Scottish heritage, wore a traditional kilt in the Lindsay family tartan.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez
That same month saw one of the year’s most anticipated weddings: Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, 61, married journalist Lauren Sánchez, 55.
The couple rented a private island for the occasion, with guests arriving by water taxi. Over 200 celebrities attended, including the Kardashian sisters and Kris Jenner, Leonardo DiCaprio and Vittoria Ceretti, Oprah Winfrey, Orlando Bloom, Eva Longoria, Sydney Sweeney, and Ivanka Trump with husband Jared Kushner.

Lauren Sánchez walked down the aisle in a luxurious Dolce & Gabbana gown inspired by photographs of iconic Italian actress Sophia Loren. Jeff Bezos opted for a classic black tuxedo with satin lapels.

Not only Jeff Bezos’ wedding dominated the summer social scene. In Lebanon, an equally spectacular ceremony took place when Celio Saab, son of legendary designer Elie Saab, married his longtime partner Zein Qutami.

For the ceremony, the bride chose a voluminous white gown with embroidered detailing along the hem and bare shoulders. A tiara, veil, and loose hair completed her look.

The wedding took place at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, attended by close friends and family. Guests included Cara Delevingne and Emma Bunton. Although Victoria Beckham was absent, she congratulated the couple publicly online.

Mel B walked down the aisle in an A-line gown by Josephine Scott featuring sheer panels and pearl embellishments, paired with a long veil. The groom wore a traditional Scottish kilt.

Festivities began with a live orchestra performance, Italian cuisine, and a theatrical production titled Una Serenata! at the local theater. Kate wore a white lace Maison Valentino gown with a high neckline and open back. The groom opted for warm tones: a terracotta shirt and burgundy trousers.
The main ceremony followed the next day, with the bride wearing an off-the-shoulder gown embroidered with her initials, while the groom appeared in a light gray suit.
