Kylie Jenner’s $50 million Fantasy Bra is set to go on sale

Diamond-studded luxury
Kylie Jenner made her Victoria’s Secret runway debut only recently, yet her look has already become part of the brand’s history. The model walked the show wearing the iconic Fantasy Bra, valued at an estimated $50 million. It has now been revealed that, following the show, the piece will be offered for private sale at Jacob & Co.’s New York boutique, Page Six reports.
The final sale price has not yet been announced. Unlike some previous Fantasy Bras, which were dismantled into individual pieces of jewellery after the show, this one is intended to remain intact.

The creation is the result of a collaboration between Victoria’s Secret and Jacob Arabo, founder of Jacob & Co.

At its centre is a natural 75.54-carat Fancy Vivid yellow diamond, valued at an estimated $22 million. Cut in a radiant shape, the stone showcases its intense yellow hue.

Surrounding it are another 4,410 natural white diamonds, bringing the total weight of all the stones to approximately 1,373 carats. Gold and several different cuts complete the design, including Jacob & Co.’s signature Angel Cut.

Creating the Fantasy Bra took more than 1,000 hours of work by 15 artisans. The structure comprises approximately 3,218 individual components. Despite being essentially a piece of fine jewellery, it had to remain flexible enough to follow Kylie’s movements as she walked the runway.

This year’s Fantasy Bra also set a new record for Victoria’s Secret. It is the most expensive creation in the brand’s history, surpassing the previous record-holder, the Red Hot Fantasy Bra worn by Gisele Bündchen in 2000. That piece was valued at $15 million.

The Fantasy Bra returned to the runway after a six-year hiatus. The iconic piece was last presented in 2018, when Elsa Hosk wore it. The tradition itself dates back to 1996, when Claudia Schiffer debuted the very first Fantasy Bra.

Now, Jacob & Co.’s record-breaking creation will leave the runway and head to the brand’s New York boutique. Who will become its new owner remains to be seen.
