The highlights of the event
One of the biggest tennis tournaments of the year has come to an end in New York — the US Open. The men’s singles final at Arthur Ashe Stadium drew not only thousands of tennis fans, but also a host of Hollywood stars, athletes and prominent business figures.
The title went to German tennis player Alexander Zverev. In the final, he defeated American Ben Shelton 6–3, 7–6, 5–7, 6–2. The match lasted 3 hours and 37 minutes. It marked Zverev’s second Grand Slam title of 2026. For Shelton, it was his first final at this level.
Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon were among those watching the match closely.

Tennis legends were also in attendance. Martina Navratilova, Stan Smith and Jimmy Connors were among the guests. Connors presented Zverev with the championship trophy after the match.
The US Open final was therefore not only a major sporting event, but also a true star-studded affair. On this occasion, the celebrity-filled stands could almost rival the tennis court itself for attention.
