A couple’s night out: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry attend a gala in Canada

A closer look at their outfits
In recent months, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been making fewer public appearances together, increasingly focusing on their individual projects. But Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently stepped out side by side once again. The couple attended a gala in Victoria, Canada, marking the 40th anniversary of the charitable foundation founded by their longtime friend — music producer David Foster.
For the evening, 45-year-old Meghan chose a navy blue gown by Canadian label Greta Constantine. The understated strapless design featured a fitted silhouette and minimalist cut. The Duchess wore her hair in an elegant updo, while the standout detail of her look was a pair of sapphire-and-diamond earrings that once belonged to her late mother-in-law — Princess Diana.

Prince Harry complemented his wife’s elegant look in a classic black tuxedo, white shirt and bow tie. On the red carpet, the couple posed alongside David Foster and his wife, singer and actress Katharine McPhee. The Sussexes have shared a close friendship with the couple for years.

The gala was part of a two-day celebration marking the 40th anniversary of the David Foster Foundation, established by the music producer in 1986. The organization supports Canadian families whose children require life-saving organ transplants, helping cover accommodation, travel and other everyday expenses during treatment. Since its founding, the foundation has supported more than 1,600 families.
The anniversary celebrations will continue with a free David Foster & Friends concert at Victoria’s Inner Harbour. Josh Groban, Katharine McPhee, CeeLo Green, The Tenors, Loren Allred, Pia Toscano and other artists are set to take the stage.
