Marina Hoermanseder unveils futuristic Spring/Summer 2027 collection

Outer Space
During Berlin Fashion Week, Marina Hoermanseder presented her new Spring/Summer 2027 collection, titled «Outer Space». This season, the designer turned to the idea of outer space as a symbol of freedom, the unknown, and limitless possibilities, offering her own vision of a future in which fashion becomes a tool for exploring new worlds.

«Outer Space» is a story about the courage to move beyond the familiar. At the heart of the collection is an individual who embraces change, seeks new discoveries, and views the unknown as a space for creativity. Here, the aesthetics of space are not an end in themselves but rather an artistic language through which Hoermanseder reflects on personal transformation and the freedom of self-expression.

The collection brings together the brand’s signature design codes with futuristic influences. Sculptural dresses, architectural tailoring, sharp geometric lines, and voluminous silhouettes dominated the runway. Hoermanseder’s iconic leather corsets, belts, and bold metal buckles remained central to the collection, reaffirming the distinctive design language that has become synonymous with her name.

The colour palette combines shimmering silver, icy blue, green, and warm earthy tones, punctuated by vivid orange accents. Metallic finishes, reflective surfaces, and intricate constructions created looks reminiscent of futuristic armour or the costumes of science fiction characters.

One of the highlights of the show was the introduction of menswear looks, which blended seamlessly into the overall concept and marked another step in the ongoing evolution of the brand’s creative vision.

The runway presentation opened with a short cinematic film featuring Marina Hoermanseder inside the cockpit of a spacecraft moments before launch. This dramatic introduction established the mood for the entire show, while the futuristic runway design further enhanced the feeling of embarking on a journey into the unknown.

Marina Hoermanseder is an Austrian designer of French descent who lives and works in Berlin. She founded her eponymous label in 2013 after graduating from ESMOD Berlin and completing an internship at the fashion house Alexander McQueen.

Hoermanseder gained international recognition through her innovative reinterpretation of the corset, which has become one of the defining elements of her work. By combining traditional craftsmanship with sculptural design, she creates pieces that exist at the intersection of fashion, art, and object design. Architectural silhouettes, premium leather, and oversized metal buckles have become integral to the brand’s unmistakable aesthetic.

Among Marina Hoermanseder’s high-profile clients and admirers are Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Kim Kardashian, Janet Jackson, and many other international celebrities. Today, she is regarded as one of the leading figures of the contemporary German fashion scene, and her runway shows remain a regular highlight of the official Berlin Fashion Week schedule.
