Film star Penélope Cruz has offered a rare glimpse into her enduring relationship with her husband, actor Javier Bardem.
The actress admitted that even after 16 years of marriage, she continues to discover new things about her husband and is still learning how to build and nurture a harmonious partnership.

In an interview with People, the 52-year-old actress explained that no one can truly claim to know themselves completely, which is why getting to know one’s partner is also a lifelong journey.
«I feel like I’m still learning in my relationship. I’m with someone I’ve known for 33 years. Yes, I know him very well, but can anyone ever say they fully understand themselves? I don’t think so. And it’s the same with your partner», Penélope shared.

The future spouses first met in 1992 on a film set. At the time, Cruz was only 17 years old. However, romantic feelings between the two did not develop until much later – in 2008.
Bardem himself has previously emphasized that they knew each other long before global fame, red carpets, and major career successes entered their lives. According to him, having someone by your side who knows the real you is incredibly important.
Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem married in July 2010 and are raising two children together – their 15-year-old son Leo and their 12-year-old daughter Luna.
