Blogger Nara Smith’s two-year-old daughter diagnosed with cancer
A heartbreaking time for the family
Popular tradwife blogger Nara Smith has shared devastating news with her followers – her two-year-old daughter, Whimsy Lou, has been diagnosed with cancer. The 24-year-old influencer revealed the news on her Instagram page.
According to Nara, she and her husband, model Lucky Blue Smith, first noticed health concerns involving their daughter late last year and immediately sought medical attention.
«When we took her to our paediatrician, I remember him suddenly going quiet. In that moment, my heart sank. I don’t know whether it was intuition or a mother’s instinct, but the first thing I thought was that she had cancer», Nara recalled.
Following a series of examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound scans, a biopsy and other medical procedures, the family’s fears were confirmed. Doctors informed them that the disease was progressing rapidly and that treatment needed to begin without delay. Little Whimsy was subsequently started on a course of chemotherapy.
Nara did not disclose the specific type of cancer her daughter has been diagnosed with, nor did she provide details about her current condition. However, the blogger admitted that the past few months have been an immense challenge.
«There are days when it feels a little easier, and there are days that are incredibly hard. All I can do is try to stay strong and do everything I possibly can», she shared.
According to Smith, her daughter’s health battle is the reason she has been largely absent from social media in recent months. She is currently balancing caring for her daughter in hospital, looking after her other children and recovering from childbirth herself, having welcomed her fourth child earlier this year.
