Media: Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid are no longer together

After ten years of relationship
Friends star Courteney Cox and Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid have ended their relationship after more than a decade together. According to Page Six and the Daily Mail, citing sources close to the couple, they split at the end of 2025, though the news has only now come to light.

Insiders say the breakup was amicable and free of conflict. Over time, their lives gradually moved in different directions: Cox was based mainly in the United States, while McDaid spent most of his time in the United Kingdom. Despite the end of their romance, the former couple has managed to maintain warm and friendly relations.

«Johnny speaks very fondly of Courteney. They shared deep feelings, remained good friends, and continue to hold each other in high regard. It wasn’t a painful breakup – it was simply the moment they went their separate ways», a source said.
Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid were last seen together publicly in September 2025 at the US Open tennis tournament. A few months earlier, the actress had publicly wished her partner a happy birthday and expressed her affection in a heartfelt message. The celebrities themselves have not yet commented on the split.

For reference, Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid met in 2013 through mutual friends. They announced their engagement a year later, but briefly split in 2015. They later reconciled, though they never made it down the aisle.
Before her relationship with McDaid, Cox was married to actor David Arquette. The former couple share a daughter, Coco, and after their 2013 divorce they managed to remain on good terms and continue co-parenting.
