Tom Hardy to take a multi-year break from acting

Due to serious health issues

British actor Tom Hardy is planning to take an extended break from work after completing filming for the second season of the crime series Gangsterland. According to international media reports, the creative hiatus could last for several years.

The decision is said to stem from health problems and physical exhaustion. The 48-year-old actor has previously admitted that the demanding nature of many of his roles has left his body quite literally «falling apart».

Hardy revealed that he has already undergone two knee surgeries. He also suffers from a herniated disc, sciatica, and persistent pain in his back and feet.

«Everything is falling apart, and it’s not getting any better», the actor said candidly.
