A Contemporary Take on the Archives at the Michael Kors Show

Marking the Brand’s 45th Anniversary
An exclusive Michael Kors show took place in New York on the eve of the celebration. The brand not only unveiled its Fall/Winter 2026 collection but also commemorated a significant milestone — 45 years in the fashion industry.

The central concept of the show was a reinterpretation of the fashion house’s archives. Michael Kors revisited his own legacy, demonstrating how timeless classics can be reimagined for a new era.

At the heart of the collection was the house’s unmistakable aesthetic: iconic black turtlenecks, classic camel coats, impeccably tailored white shirts, and elegant little black dresses. These signature staples were presented in refreshed interpretations, enhanced with contemporary textures and modern detailing.

Models walked the runway in black turtlenecks layered beneath cropped coats, in crisp classic shirts paired with ostrich-feather skirts, and in black dresses adorned with floral bead and sequin appliqués.

The show concluded with a runway appearance by 57-year-old supermodel Christy Turlington, who famously starred in the brand’s very first advertising campaign many years ago.
