Bad Bunny’s performance and a wedding ceremony: highlights from the 2026 Super Bowl

Sharing the most memorable moments
On the night of February 8-9, the 60th season finale of the National Football League (NFL) – Super Bowl 2026 – took place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, near San Francisco. The «New England Patriots» faced off against the «Seattle Seahawks». The Seahawks claimed victory, securing the club’s second championship title after their triumph in 2014.
The musical headliner was Grammy-winning artist Bad Bunny, the first performer in Super Bowl history to deliver a fully Spanish-language show. The 14-minute performance featured his biggest hits, with a stage design inspired by Bad Bunny’s native Puerto Rico.
Although many expected the artist to use the stage for political statements, no harsh messages were delivered. Instead, Bad Bunny focused on a pacifist message, displaying the phrase «The only thing stronger than hate is love» on a massive billboard. Nevertheless, the show did not appeal to Donald Trump, who called it one of the worst Super Bowl performances in history and criticized the singer’s dance moves as «disgusting and vulgar».
For the performance, Bad Bunny wore a sporty look from Zara and debuted the new BadBo 1.0 sneakers, designed in collaboration with Adidas.
Coco Jones’s outfit was among the most discussed of the evening. Her Karl Kani costume paid homage to the athletic look by Le Coq Sportif worn by Whitney Houston during her Super Bowl performance in 1991.
During the halftime show, audiences were also entertained by Ricky Martin, who performed his hit «Livin’ La Vida Loca», as well as appearances by Pedro Pascal, Karol G, and Jessica Alba.
A standout moment was Lady Gaga’s performance of «Die With A Smile» in a custom-made Luar gown.
Adding a unique twist to the show was a real wedding ceremony. A couple who appeared on camera had previously asked Bad Bunny to perform at their celebration, after which the artist suggested holding the wedding live during the Super Bowl.
Celebrities spotted in the stands included Cardi B in Zimmermann, Travis Scott, Kim Kardashian, Lewis Hamilton, Kendall Jenner, Beyoncé, and Jay-Z, as well as their 14-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter, who wore an Off-White jacket paired with a Balenciaga bag.
For context, the first Super Bowl took place in 1966 following the merger of the National Football League and the American Football League. Since then, the championship has featured the best teams from each conference, with the winner receiving the Vince Lombardi Trophy – named in honor of the coach who led the Green Bay Packers to victory in the first two Super Bowls in 1966 and 1967.
