New trailer released for Michael Jackson film

Premiere – April 24, 2026
Lionsgate has unveiled the official trailer for the biopic Michael, dedicated to the life and work of one of the most iconic artists of all time – Michael Jackson.
The lead role is played by the legendary singer’s nephew, Jafar Jackson, who astonishingly recreates his uncle’s persona: every movement, glance, and stage charisma. The film is directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) with a screenplay by John Logan (Gladiator). According to Variety, Fuqua notes that Jafar’s resemblance to Michael goes far beyond mere physical likeness.
The trailer depicts the beginning of the artist’s career with the Jackson 5, his first steps on the big stage, and the iconic hit Billie Jean. Scenes feature the signature moonwalk as well as nods to Jackson’s most famous music video – Thriller.
The film is scheduled to premiere on April 24, 2026. It is expected to become one of the most ambitious biographical projects of the year, offering viewers a deep dive into the world of a genius whose work continues to inspire millions.
Earlier, the trailer for another highly anticipated project, The Devil Wears Prada 2, was released online.
