Bruce Willis’s Wife Says She Is Willing to Donate the Actor’s Brain to Scientists After His Death

to Help Others
Emma Heming Willis, the wife of seriously ill actor Bruce Willis, has revealed that she intends to donate her husband’s brain for scientific research after his death. The news was reported by The WP Times.
She described the decision as «emotionally difficult but important for science.» According to her, such a donation could help researchers studying frontotemporal dementia, the condition Willis has been diagnosed with.
«Perhaps one day it will help other families,» she wrote in her memoir.
In 2022, Bruce Willis retired from acting due to health issues. A year later, his family announced a definitive diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia, a disease for which no treatment currently exists. Heming noted that as her husband’s condition worsened, conversations about his possible passing became an unavoidable part of their family life.

At the end of the summer, Willis’s relatives decided to move him to another residence, where he is now under round-the-clock care. Emma explained that she made this decision for the sake of their daughters — 11-year-old Evelyn and 13-year-old Mabel.
The actor’s wife had earlier spoken about the first signs of his illness.
«From a very talkative and active person, he became quieter, indifferent, and withdrawn. His childhood stutter returned, and at work he began missing lines, sometimes appearing confused — and no one understood why,» Emma recalled.
