Oscar Isaac Named GQ’s Man of the Year

A Milestone in a Stellar Career
Guatemalan-American actor Oscar Isaac, star of Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, graces the latest GQ cover and has been named «Man of the Year.»

The 46-year-old actor, also known for his roles in Dune, A History of Violence, and Moon Knight, was photographed by Tyrell Hampton for the feature. The shoot was styled by George Cortina, who curated looks for Isaac from Louis Vuitton, Céline, Turnbull & Asser, Richard James Savile Row, and Anderson & Sheppard — an elegant blend of classic tailoring, artistic flair, and Latin American charisma.

In the accompanying interview, Isaac spoke about his role as Dr. Victor in del Toro’s highly anticipated Frankenstein.
Isaac revealed that the offer came unexpectedly during a friendly meeting with the director:
«I just went over to chat. We were sitting in his kitchen, having Cuban food — rice, beans, pork… and we started talking about our parents — the pain, the joy, forgiveness. About how we become parents ourselves and what shapes us. And at the end of the conversation, he says,«I’m making Frankenstein, and I think you should play Victor.»

The actor admitted that at first, he didn’t take del Toro seriously:
«I thought maybe he was just having a creative impulse, or that he says that to everyone. But in the end, it turned out he was completely serious.»
