Donald and Melania Trump Host Halloween Celebration at the White House

Here’s how it unfolded
Following a week-long tour across Asian countries, U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump hosted the traditional White House Halloween celebration.
However, the presidential couple chose not to wear costumes. Donald Trump appeared in his usual business attire complemented by a red cap, while Melania opted for an elegant beige coat.

The event brought together hundreds of children — from toddlers to teenagers. Among the guests were little Spider-Men, Captains America, ballerinas, princesses and leprechauns. Two boys arrived wearing caps and suits with the Trump name, imitating the president’s smile, while a girl beside them wore a white coat reminiscent of the First Lady’s signature style. Some parents also embraced the festive atmosphere by wearing “USA” caps similar to the president’s.

The celebration was attended by children of military personnel, administration officials and White House staff. For example, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt came with her young son dressed as a pumpkin. Former Trump administration official Katie Miller chose a skeleton costume, while her husband, Stephen Miller, Deputy White House Chief of Staff, remained in a classic suit.
During the event, Donald and Melania greeted guests and handed out chocolate packaged in boxes adorned with the presidential seal.
Due to the construction of a new ballroom — a project initiated by President Trump himself — parts of the White House grounds were temporarily closed off with decorative walls. Behind them, a parked bulldozer could still be seen.
