A concert featuring Ukrainian artists took place in Vienna

A charitable event
A large-scale concert was held in Vienna on the eve of the day to honor Austria’s unwavering support for Ukraine. The evening was officially opened by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Austria, Vasyl Khymynets.
Among the invited artists was the winner of Eurovision 2016, Jamala. The singer performed the song «1944», which brought her victory in the song contest.
In addition, the National Choir of Ukraine named after H. H. Veryovka took the stage – a group that combines a unique style and manner of folk singing with modern culture and professional mastery.
The most touching moment of the evening was the performance of 11-year-old Oleksandra Paskal – a girl who lost her leg during a missile strike and has become a symbol of the strength of an entire nation.
The concert was hosted by Austrian singer Cesár Sampson and Ukrainian TV presenter Marysia Horobets.
The event was charitable: all proceeds from ticket sales will go toward prosthetics and rehabilitation for children affected by the war started by Russia against Ukraine.
