Jeff Bezos prepares a prenup to protect his billions

Ahead of his wedding to Lauren Sánchez
Love is a beautiful thing — but billions call for caution. Jeff Bezos, one of the wealthiest people on the planet and currently the world’s third-richest man, is set to marry TV host Lauren Sánchez. However, he’s taking steps to protect not only his heart but also his financial empire. According to the Daily Mail, citing sources, Bezos has assembled a legal team to draft a prenuptial agreement before saying «I do.»
The main goal of the agreement is to safeguard the billionaire’s wealth acquired before his relationship with Sánchez and to prevent it from becoming joint property after marriage.
Family law expert Alphonse Provinziano told Hello! that the document would clearly outline all of Bezos’s business assets and property interests, specifying that they remain his personal property. According to him, preparing such an agreement is a complex and time-consuming process, especially for individuals with ultra-high net worth.
«It can take several months — it requires asset valuations, transparency, legal consultations, and the negotiation of all terms,» Provinziano explained.
As the couple’s wedding is expected next month, it is likely that the document has already been signed and all formalities are complete.
