Esther Graf on the fleeting nature of happiness in her new track «wenn’s am schönsten ist»
A warm melancholy with a danceable twist
Almost a year after her last release, 26-year-old Austrian singer Esther Graf presents a new song from her upcoming album.
The track, combining minimalist indie rock with her distinctive vocals, is titled «wenn’s am schönsten ist». In this new release, the artist reflects on the impermanence of happiness.
«Sometimes everything just goes perfectly – whether at work or in your personal life. But still, you can’t fully enjoy the happiness because you’re constantly expecting it to end at any moment. It’s a torn feeling that’s been with me these past months, and now I’m working through it. At the same time, I’m so happy to be back and to celebrate with my fans again this summer!» the singer comments on the release.
The track is accompanied by a music video in which Esther appears in cozy yet stylish outfits – like a bright biker jacket, a striped sweater, and a trendy headband.

Also worth noting: this summer, the Austrian artist will perform live at several festivals, including Superbloom, Deichbrand, and the Vienna Donauinselfest, before embarking on her big «Vitamin T[our]» through venues in Germany and Austria this October.
