Rosie Huntington-Whiteley explains why she moved to London

«The children are growing up as Brits»
British supermodel and former Victoria’s Secret Angel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley left sunny Los Angeles a few years ago and moved to London with her partner, actor Jason Statham, and their two children.
The 38-year-old runway star shared for the first time the reason behind the move: after 10 years of living in the City of Angels, the relocation to London was all about the children’s well-being.
Rosie and Jason were concerned about the overwhelming attention from fans and paparazzi directed at their family, so they decided to offer their 7-year-old son Jack and 3-year-old daughter Isabella a quieter life in the British capital. Rosie told The Times that in London, they can walk outside for a coffee without being followed, while in Los Angeles, they would be chased by up to five cars.
In addition, the model shared that she and her partner always planned to raise their children in their home country (both Whiteley and the 57-year-old Statham grew up in the UK), closer to grandparents and British education. Rosie and Jason have purchased three luxurious homes in the British capital worth £15 million, including a seven-bedroom mansion and a £7.5 million townhouse in Chelsea.
«We like the schools and the education. The children are growing up as Brits with British accents, which was important to us. We also have great support here: Jay’s parents live nearby and often see the children, and my family visits every 6 to 8 weeks,» the star emphasized.
It also means a lot to Rosie where her children are spending their childhood — for her, it’s important that they experience the same places she did growing up.
«In the summer, we go to Devon, and our children get the same feeling of walking through a farm as I did in my childhood, and that’s something special,» the model said.
