Cannes Film Festival organizers ban «naked» dresses on the red carpet

To avoid provocation
The organizers of the 78th Cannes Film Festival, which will take place from May 13 to 24, have banned guests from appearing on the red carpet in «naked» outfits.
This decision was made due to the fact that in recent years, the stars’ provocative fashion choices have attracted significantly more attention than the artistic films shown at the festival.

Therefore, the organizers have introduced new rules to put an end to the trend of inappropriate exposure.
«For reasons of decency, nudity is prohibited on the red carpet as well as in any other area of the festival. Access to the red carpet will be denied to anyone who does not comply with these rules», reads a statement by the Cannes Film Festival management, quoted by the Daily Mail.

Host teams will have the right to refuse entry to any celebrity who violates this new policy.
Alongside this, organizers have introduced a conservative dress code: celebrities are advised to wear suits, tuxedos, and floor-length evening gowns. Classic little black dresses, cocktail dresses, pantsuits, and tops are also permitted.
