Waiting for baby: Olivia Culpo throws a dreamy baby shower

Let’s look at the details
When Olivia Culpo started planning her baby shower, she knew there was only one place it could happen: Rhode Island. The New England state is where she grew up, where she married Christian McCaffrey, and where she became the woman she is today.
In 2012, Culpo won «Miss Rhode Island,» then «Miss USA,» and finally «Miss Universe.» So it was important for her to celebrate this new life milestone right there.
The festive event took place at the luxurious Castle Hill Inn in Newport. The space was transformed into a dreamy setting by designer Ryan Worth: the back of the venue was styled as a cozy nursery with plush teddy bears, a vintage Silver Cross pram, and tiny Bonpoint onesies.
The walls were decorated with wedding photos of the couple, and a cardholder on a dresser allowed guests to leave messages for the future baby.
One corner was inspired by the charm of Parisian streets. A harpist wearing a floral crown played live music, while artist Kate Hickman hand-painted Jo Malone bottles with real flowers.
Nearby was a pop-up French patisserie called «Le Petit Bébé,» offering macarons, croissants, and an elegant four-tier cake, which guests enjoyed at bistro-style tables.
For the baby shower, Olivia wore a custom sage green dress by Marchesa, designed by Georgina Chapman specifically for the occasion. She completed her look with Bvlgari jewelry.
«The color choice was intentional because Christian and I decided to wait until birth to find out the baby’s gender,» Olivia explained.
The celebration included emotional speeches — the first from Olivia’s mother, Susan Culpo, followed by Christian McCaffrey’s mother, Lisa. Guests then enjoyed a refined brunch featuring French toast, mushroom frittata, and maple-glazed pork.
«It was a beautiful day. What I’ll remember most is the feeling of love created by our family and closest friends,» Olivia shared. «It was truly special.»
