Watch the teaser for the second season of «Wednesday»
The premiere is set for August 6
Streaming platform Netflix has released the long-awaited teaser for the second season of the hit series «Wednesday», starring Jenna Ortega. The dark tale of the Addams family’s gloomy heiress returns to screens after a two-year break.
The short teaser shows Wednesday going through airport security, where she’s forced to empty her pockets. Among the items found are brass knuckles, pepper spray, knives – and more. Notably, a severed hand is discovered in her suitcase next to a bottle of sunscreen. Interestingly, it’s the sunscreen that raises questions from the security staff.
Wednesday then returns to Nevermore Academy, where she reunites with her roommate and friend Enid, encounters a mysterious swarm of bees, and hosts a creepy tea party. She compares her return to school to arriving at the scene of a crime.
«I already know where the bodies are buried», Wednesday says in the teaser.
New cast members in season two include Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah Taylor, and more. Pop icon Lady Gaga will play a mysterious role.
The season will be split into two parts. The first will premiere on August 6, and the second on September 3.
