Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have shown their daughter’s face for the first time. Until now, the celebrity couple had carefully kept the little girl out of the spotlight and away from the media and fans.
Four-year-old Daisy was caught by photographers during the live broadcast of her mother’s space flight. She watched the launch of the Blue Origin New Shepard rocket with her father. The company is owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
«My mommy!» the little girl exclaimed as she saw the shuttle lift off.
Onboard the spacecraft, Katy Perry took a daisy with her to show her daughter how important she is in her life. The name «Daisy» literally means «daisy flower» in English.
According to sources, the actress’s space journey wasn’t just a thrill-seeking adventure – she wanted Daisy to be proud of her and see that her mom is capable of anything.
Orlando Bloom was initially against Daisy being present at the launch. He understood how important the moment was for his wife but was afraid something could go wrong.
«If something had happened, Daisy would’ve been traumatized for life. In the end, Jeff managed to convince them that the risk was very low», a source close to the couple told the Daily Mail.
It’s worth noting that the all-female Blue Origin expedition has already faced criticism after their space flight. Hollywood stars condemned the crew for an 11-minute space trip deemed senseless and harmful to the environment.
