Dream house: Lenny Kravitz shows off his luxurious mansion in Paris

Not just a house, but a work of art
Legendary singer and musician Lenny Kravitz invited Architectural Digest for an exclusive tour of his stunning mansion in the heart of Paris.
The house, which the star purchased back in 2011, has an unusual history. Upon arriving in the French capital, Lenny stayed at a hotel and immediately contacted a top real estate agency to find a cozy apartment or a compact one- or two-bedroom house. However, none of the options impressed him. Then, the agent suggested viewing a spacious townhouse that had just hit the market.
«As soon as I walked into the foyer, I knew — this was it,» Kravitz recalls with a smile.
Despite initially feeling the house was too big, Lenny decided to stay. Together with his studio, Kravitz Design, he completely remodeled the interior, turning the space into a stylish yet soulful residence. Today, the house has three bedrooms and a large living room divided into several themed areas.
The interior is kept in light tones with a dominance of natural materials — wood, stone, rattan, and cotton. The decor reflects a colonial style which, according to Lenny, is part of his heritage.
The musician’s home is adorned with unique works of art — from pieces by Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat to works by African artists. But the most valuable piece, Lenny says, is a portrait of his grandfather Albert Roker — it holds a place of honor in the living room.
«This house constantly pays tribute to my ancestors. Their photographs are everywhere; they tell the story of my people: Black, American, and African,» the artist shares.
