«Grey’s Anatomy» star Eric Dane diagnosed with ALS

Stephen Hawking also suffered from the disease
American actor Eric Dane, best known for his roles in the series «Grey’s Anatomy» and «Euphoria», revealed in an interview with People magazine that he has been diagnosed with a rare disease.
The star was diagnosed with ALS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis – a condition that physicist Stephen Hawking also suffered from.
This incurable disease affects the nerve cells responsible for motor functions. As ALS progresses, it deprives the person of the ability to move independently.

«I was diagnosed with ALS. I’m grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this chapter together», the actor said.
He also added that he plans to return to the set of «Euphoria» for season three in the near future.
