A rare outing: The Prince and Princess of Wales appear in public together
The royal couple visited Wales
Recently, the Prince and Princess of Wales traveled to Pontypridd in South Wales to show their support for local residents affected by the floods caused by storms in 2024. This marked their second joint public appearance since Kate announced her remission.
The couple’s first stop was the central market, where they visited The Welsh Cake Shop bakery and were taught how to make traditional Welsh cakes.
After that, Prince William and Kate Middleton headed to Fountain Café to meet with local entrepreneurs. The café owner, Dawn Prior, expressed her gratitude: «They are here because they care. That gives us strength».
The couple concluded their visit with a stop at a community garden and woodland on Meadow Street.
For the trip, Kate chose a bright red Alexander McQueen coat – the color of the Welsh flag – paired with a brown turtleneck and knee-high boots. Later, she swapped the coat for a Ralph Lauren blazer, which she had previously worn in public in 2007.
