Nicolas Cage’s ex-girlfriend files lawsuit against the actor

Due to their son’s assault
The ex-girlfriend of 61-year-old American actor Nicolas Cage, Christina Fulton, has filed a lawsuit against him. However, the reason for this legal action is not their past relationship but rather their shared son, Weston Coppola Cage.
In her lawsuit, Christina claims that last year, 34-year-old Weston inflicted life-threatening injuries on her as a result of a severe beating. She states that the attack left her with a concussion, injuries to her neck, teeth, and abdomen, as well as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

So why is Nicolas involved? According to his former partner, the actor was aware of their son’s mental and psychological disorders but did nothing to help him. Fulton also accuses Cage of purchasing an apartment for Weston next to hers, bailing him out of jail, and drinking alcohol with him despite knowing about his struggles with alcohol abuse.

In response, a representative for the actor called Christina Fulton’s lawsuit «frivolous» and stated that «Cage does not control his son’s actions and is not responsible for Weston’s assault on his mother».
For reference, the couple was in a relationship starting in 1988. Three years later, Nicolas and Christina separated, and in 2009, she sued the actor over a $13 million debt.
