Paris Fashion Week has officially begun. The event will last for four days, concluding on the 30th. Simon Porte Jacquemus has already presented his haute couture collection, which was inspired not only by the brand’s archives but also by the aesthetics of post-war optimism from the 1950s and the luxurious spirit of Old Hollywood.
The collection’s name, La Croisière, is a reference to the era when cruises were synonymous with luxury. This concept is woven throughout the collection, which combines French sophistication with American freedom.
The fashion show opened with Angelina Kendall, who wore a white corset dress made of cotton poplin.
Following this, the runway featured double-breasted blazers, maxi skirts, structured formal coats, short shorts, sculptural bustier dresses accented with statement corsets, low-rise skirts, and even sporty windbreakers.
Most of the looks were presented in a minimalist monochrome palette, while others delighted with unique prints: vertical stripes, polka dots, and banana motifs.
The venue for the show was the iconic apartment of architect Auguste Perret in Paris. Located on the top floor of the famous residential building at 25 bis Franklin Street, the Perret apartment has preserved its original furnishings and interior details. This allowed guests to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the early 20th century and better understand the «architectural» tailoring of most pieces in the collection.
A standout aspect of the show was the brand’s collaboration with Apple: the entire show was filmed exclusively on the iPhone 16 Pro Max, without the use of professional cameras. This decision emphasized Jacquemus’s commitment to innovation and demonstrated the capabilities of modern technology in creating fashion content.
A host of global celebrities attended the show. Among them were well-known «muses» of the brand: Pamela Anderson, Carla Bruni, Laetitia Casta, and Tina Kunakey.
New faces included French actress Audrey Tautou and singer Tyla. The latter appeared in a black dress with deep side slits, fully exposing the star’s body.
Similarly dressed at the show was model Adriana Lima, who confidently showcased her equally daring figure.
