Premiere of «The Kiss of the Spider Woman»
Yesterday, the Sundance Film Festival hosted the premiere of The Kiss of the Spider Woman, a film based on Manuel Puig’s 1976 novel of the same name. The story follows a political prisoner who escapes the horrors of imprisonment by imagining films starring a classic actress named Ingrid Luna.
The event was attended by numerous celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez. The 55-year-old star couldn’t miss such an important occasion, as she played one of the leading roles in the film.
For the premiere, Lopez chose an outfit perfectly in line with the movie’s theme. She posed for photographers in a semi-transparent Valdrin Sahiti gown, layered with a jeweled «spiderweb» by Hassanzadeh. Her striking look was completed with black Christian Louboutin heels and a matching clutch.
According to Lopez, she spent months preparing for her role as Ingrid in the film.
«I wish I had a whole year to work on such a big musical, but we didn’t have that luxury. It was tough. Really tough. Even for me, as a dancer. Still, we made it», Jennifer commented.
Interestingly, Jennifer’s ex-husband, actor Ben Affleck, did not attend the film’s premiere, despite being one of the film’s producers. Rumor has it that Affleck does not plan to promote the movie alongside his ex-wife.
