Haute Couture Austrian Awards 2024 Ceremony took place in Vienna
A glamorous evening
A large crowd of fashion enthusiasts gathered on January 14 to celebrate the Haute Couture Austrian Awards 2024. The event, now in its 21st edition, once again proved that Austrian designers are not only keeping pace with international fashion giants but are also their equals in creativity and craftsmanship.
Under the theme «The Blue Dimension,»Austrian designers presented their couture creations inspired by the artwork of the legendary Yves Klein. This year, the winner of the Haute Couture Austrian Awards 2024 was Elke Acs from Burgenland. Second place went to Leni Bull from Salzburg, and third place to Andreas Anibas from Lower Austria.
For the first time, the Icon Award was presented as part of the Haute Couture Austrian Awards. This honor was awarded to Heather Anne Mills.
Mills is a businesswoman, activist, writer, prosthetics developer, extreme athlete, world record holder for speed skiing on a prosthetic leg (the former model speeds across water at 166 km/h), and a mother. As a sponsor of the Austrian Haute Couture Awards, she was honored for her extraordinary charisma, contributions to promoting fashion and art, and her inspiring personality.
Distinguished guests of the awards included Sabine Apfolterer (cosmetic surgeon), Kerstin Lechner (model), Nadine Mirada (model), Kari Ochsner (entrepreneur and president of IV NÖ), Johanna Kräuter (opera singer), Maxi Blaha (actress), Ebi Kohlbacher (gallerist), Hanna Reissner (host), Beatrice Turin (singer and model), and many others.
