Amazon Prime to produce documentary on Melania Trump
The premiere is scheduled for 2025
Amazon Studios has begun filming a documentary about the wife of newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump – Melania Trump.
The creators of the film promise an «unprecedented behind-the-scenes look» at the life of the Trump family. The documentary will include exclusive footage as well as coverage of the upcoming inauguration scheduled for January 20.
Melania herself will serve as one of the executive producers of the project, which, according to the BBC, gives her editorial control over the film.
The project will be directed by Brett Ratner, best known for his film «Rush Hour». This will be his first major work since allegations of sexual misconduct and rape were brought against him in 2017. The Trumps have not yet commented on the news of the documentary’s production.
The title of the new documentary is currently being kept under wraps.
«We will share more details about the project after the release plans are finalized», an Amazon representative told Variety.
The film is set to be released in the second half of 2025, simultaneously in theaters and on the streaming platform Prime Video.
As a reminder, last year Melania Trump published an autobiography. According to the BBC, the book became a bestseller on Amazon.
