Will release her final album
Legendary American singer Cher, after more than 60 years in show business, has decided to take a well-deserved rest. The 78-year-old artist has officially announced her retirement. According to the performer, her upcoming music album, which she is currently working on and plans to release by her 80th birthday, will mark the conclusion of her creative journey.
«This is probably my last album that I’m going to record. I’m very excited. These are wonderful songs, and I’m just thrilled to be doing this», — Cher shared in an interview with The Sun.
The Grammy, Oscar, and Golden Globe-winning icon noted that her farewell to the stage will be unforgettable. In addition to her final album and memoirs, she also plans to release a film about her journey.
Cher further explained that her decision to retire is influenced by her advanced age.
«I’m the oldest person I meet in almost every room, unless it’s in a retirement home», — the star joked.
